Marsh Cottage (sleeping up to 4) - 4 Stars plus Gold Award (Visit England Jan 2011)

The accommodation comprises an open plan living room and kitchen/dining area. The comfortably furnished living area has a TV, DVD player, CD/radio and internet access.

For balmy summer evenings, the annex has doors opening onto a patio garden area, which comes with garden chairs, table and barbeque. The modern kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped with fridge/freezer, cooker, ceramic hob and microwave. Marsh Cottage has two double bedrooms. There is a separate shower room complete with glass brick shower screen, basin and toilet.

 

 The Barn (sleeping up to 12) - 5 Stars (Visit England Jan 2011)

Upon entry to the barn, you will be greeted by a medieval style fireplace in a large galleried entrance hall with adjoining cloakroom.  To the right, on three floors, are four bedrooms each with en suit facilities. Two of these are doubles, the other two family rooms, accommodated up to 4 people, through connecting rooms.

The first and second floor living rooms have panoramic views over Oulton marshes and beyond. These are west facing, with the lower lounge having a dining area and balcony offering the chance of viewing spectacular sunsets.  

Below is a spacious farmhouse kitchen, handmade by local tradesmen finished with granite worktops. The kitchen has a dining area seating 12 and sofas to relax. Through the patio doors is an outside terrace with pergola and views over the marshes.

A cot and high chair are available on request. There is a communal laundry room with ironing facilities. Electricity and underfloor heating are included in the price. All rooms are provided linen and towels.

Please note that larger parties up to 16 can be accommodated through the adjoining Marsh Cottage.
